We cannot accommodate booking changes or cancellations over the phone.
Please review our cancellation policies below:
Friday Night Throw Downs, Private Lessons, and Workshops:
Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled booking are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours to your scheduled booking will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount paid.
We’re happy to work with you to reschedule your booking. However, if you need to reschedule more than once, a $15.00 rescheduling fee (+ GST) will apply.
Late Arrivals:
Private lessons and events begin at a scheduled time. If you arrive late, the lesson still ends at the original time. This means you may not finish your project(s), or will take home less pieces than originally included in your booking.
If you are more than 30 minutes late, the lesson is considered a no-show and will not be refunded or rescheduled.
No-shows result in full charge, with no refund or reschedule.
Private lesson pricing is tiered based on group size. If your group size changes from the original booking, the pricing will adjust to reflect the actual number of attendees. Notice requirements for group size adjustments:
For groups of 1–9 attendees: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for any group size adjustments or refund requests. An increase in group size requires approval, and is not guaranteed.
For groups of 10 or more attendees: Please provide at least 168 hours (7 days’) notice for any group size adjustments or refund requests. An increase in group size requires approval, and is not guaranteed.
Multi-Week Classes:
We kindly ask that when signing up for a course, you ensure you can attend all scheduled lessons. Ceramics is a time-sensitive craft, and weekly attendance is crucial to accommodate the drying and working stages of your pieces. Missing a class may result in your pieces becoming too dry to work with and may need to be discarded. Additionally, it may mean that you won’t have any pieces to work on the following week, which can disrupt your overall experience!
Please note that joining make-up classes only applies to our wheel throwing courses, beginner hand building classes cannot be made-up at this time.
Make-Up Lessons for Wheel Throwing Courses:
We respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice of your missed class so we can plan accordingly and attempt to reschedule your session. Without sufficient notice, we cannot guarantee a make-up lesson.
All make-up sessions must occur within the same week (Sunday–Saturday) as the missed class to keep your work on track.
We hold one additional seat in each wheel-throwing class for make-up lessons. They are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are attending a make-up class as an additional student, please be aware that the instructor will need to use your wheel at times for demonstrations, especially during the first week of classes. This means you may have less wheel time than in your regularly scheduled class.
If you need to reschedule more than one class, a $15.00 rescheduling fee (+ GST) will apply.
Classes will continue as scheduled, even if a holiday falls during your multi-week course. Please plan accordingly.
We do not offer refunds or reimbursements for missed classes.
Cancelling or Rescheduling an Entire Multi-Week Course:
If you need to cancel or reschedule a multi-week course before it begins, we can only offer a refund or reschedule if we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist.
We kindly ask that you review your schedule carefully and select your courses thoughtfully during registration. Only register for a class if you are confident in your ability to attend.
Once the course has started, refunds or rescheduling are not available under any circumstances.
